Livability by Design

Copenhagen has set a new standard in sustainable urban development. Through design leadership, political foresight, business innovation, and green mobility, Copenhagen is paving the way to becoming the world’s first carbon neutral capital by 2025.

Scaledenmark offers a range of professional study tours to highlight Copenhagen’s roadmap to carbon-neutrality through urban solutions from the macro- to micro- level.

Our study tours are designed to provide insight into scalable, best-practice design solutions in the context of livability and sustainability. We select case studies that represent proven urban strategies and architectural solutions that have the potential for long-term adaptation and large-scale adoption to future-proof our cities across the globe.

Here is an overview of what you can expect from our study tours:

  • We offer half- and full-day tours for design professionals passionate about improving quality of life through design.
  • Our tours are led by experienced architects and urban planners eager to share their knowledge and professional perspective on Denmark’s holistic and integrated approach to sustainability.
  • We customize every tour program – and the tour focus is up to you. You can choose from one of our pre-planned tours, or develop a program relevant to a desired design project, strategy or solution.
  • We recommend at least a half-day (4 hour) tour program to best accommodate site visits and commute time. You are welcome to schedule a tour for a shorter duration, but please be advised that our base tour price is our half-day tour program.
  • Green mobility is the future – and we welcome you to explore Copenhagen by foot, bike, public transportation, harbor boat, or private bus. All options are available, and we are happy to work with you to best discover the city based on your program.
  • We want to offer the best experience for our clients, and we recommend that tour groups are no larger than 25 people per tour guide.
